The PhD programme in chemistry has four main options (Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry). The training seeks to provide high-level manpower needed in research institutes and institutions of higher education. In order to gain experience in teaching, all postgraduate students are required to participate in tutorials and laboratory practical training of undergraduates under the supervision of Faculty members. Candidates must acquire the skills needed for conceiving and writing research proposals of high quality. They should be able to initiate and carry out research projects to completion successfully. Students are expected to earn at least 180 credits upon completion of studies.
